JOANES is the name of the fishers' village, situated along the coastside of the island of  MARAJÓ, which lies in the mouth of the river (rio) AMAZON. At this place, the Amazon is transformated in a sea (mar), with tides and waves.

The POUSADA is built on top of a cliff, with a splendid view on the sea and the beach of Joanes. Via our stairs, you come straight on the beach.

Enjoy the microclimate, in the middle of green nature and let yourself be taken by the ever present wind (ventania).
